The church has an active music program.  Choirs and concerts provide a rich musical experience, devoted to praising God.  Whether as participant or congregation, music in the life of the church is considered essential.

The Gregory H. Largent concert which was scheduled for Friday, May 18, 2012

has been cancelled until next season.  



 

 

Our facility is handicap accessible - there is an elevator on the ground floor

at the S. Webster St. entrance as well as a handicap accessible restroom on the 1st floor

near the entrance of the Sanctuary.

 

 

 



 

Adult Chancel Choir

 You don't have to be a member to join the adult choirs...
Adult Choirs are open to all adults, college age and above
 

Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:30 until 9:00 p.m.  The group sings each Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service beginning in September and ending before Memorial Day in May.  Come join our musical family.  Altos wanted! Want to learn how to ring Handbells??? Contact Mr. Largent if interested in learning more!  Call him at the church 793-9890.

Chancel Choir is our main worship choir.  It is for people who love to sing.  The age group is from after High School through the rest of life!  The choir leads worship with a wide variety of musical styles.   Some of our worship music is as new as tomorrow, some is from the great masters of the past.  There is no audition to participate in the choir & church membership is not required.  We want you to join us in singing God’s Praise!                                                                             

Beginning Handbells Explorer Choir - For college age and adults.  Do you like the sound of handbells?  Can you tell if a note is on a line or space?  Can you count to 4 - and sometimes 6?  Would you like to explore a new musical experience?  Can you laugh if you make a boo-boo?  Wednesdays from 7:15 - 8:15 pm.  Gregory H. Largent, director.
 

 

Youth Choir--is for young people between 7th grade and 12th grade. You  do  not have to be a church  member to join.  This group of energetic and exciting people sings for 10:30 a.m. Worship Service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.  During rehearsal we work on musical skills, voice production, and learning new music.  The choir usually does at least one musical per year.  Every third year we have a Youth Choir Tour.  We have toured many states and actually toured England and Scotland.  No audition is required.  Come join us for rehearsal on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.  We would like to get to know you….. I know you will fit in right away!
   
 
Youth Handbell Choir--Students between 7th and 12th Grade learn how to ring Handbells, improve their music skills, and become part of a “Music Team”.  If you play piano or an instrument you are a natural for a Handbell Choir.  We rehearse on Sunday afternoon from 4:30p.m. until 5:30 p.m.  We have several openings in the choir at this time.

Children's Choir

 

Children's Choirs are open to all children in Grades 1-6.
 

Alleluia! 1-3rd Grade Choir    Rehearses Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:30 pm    Sings the third Sunday of each month at the 10:30 am Worship Service.

Alleluia! 4-6th Grade Choir    Rehearses Wednesdays, 6:00 - 7:00 pm    Sings the third Sunday of each month at the 10:30 am Worship Service.These two choirs are for boys and girls in 1st grade through 6th grade.  They are a part of our Wednesday after school program known as “Wednesdays at First”. In addition to learning music for worship (the 3rd Sunday each month) the children learn how to read music and how to sing properly. The 4th - 6th graders also have 30 minutes of Handbell training each Wednesday. Church Membership is not required for participation in the Alleluia! Choirs
