While weddings are not considered to be sacraments in the Reformed tradition, they are very much a part of the ministry of the church with people. Weddings represent the formal covenanting together of a man and woman in the presence of God and witnesses. The couple to be married publicly expresses their intention to be married and then takes vows to uphold one another and their relationship in the bonds of marriage. Couples seek God's blessing on their relationship and are charged with the responsibility of upholding their vows made to one another. Weddings can be arranged for both members, and in certain circumstances, non-members. The church office should be contacted for details at 989-793-9890. We will be glad to send out materials concerning this service. An appointment is necessary with Pastor and may be necessary with the Church's organist. These appointments can be arranged through the church office. |
