Baptism is a sacrament administered to both adults and to children.  Adult persons who have not been previously baptized are given the sacrament upon a public confession of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  This usually occurs after a time of study with the pastor and represents a person's becoming a formal member of the congregation.

Infant or children's baptism is administered at the request of one or both parents or the person or persons have parental responsibility for a child.  A person requesting baptism for an infant or child must be a member of an organized Christian congregation or have made definite plans to unite with such a congregation.  Baptism of children and infants involves a pledge taken by the parent or guardian to raise the child in the knowledge and nurture of the church.  It also involves a pledge of a similar nature taken by the congregation.

Baptisms are submitted for Session approval by the Pastor, therefore, persons requesting Baptism must be in contact with the Pastor to discuss their plans and desires.
